Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer virtual services?

Yes! All therapy sessions at The Wellness Center are currently held virtually, allowing you to access therapy and wellness services from the comfort and privacy of your home. Doula services can be accessed virtually or in-person (STL area only).

How long are therapy sessions?

Therapy sessions are typically 45 minutes. If you arrive late, your appointment will still end at the originally scheduled time so we can respect the next client’s session.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If notice is not given within that time, the full session fee will be applied to your balance. Fees may be waived in cases of emergency (medical or family).

Do you accept insurance?

Currently, The Wellness Center accepts private pay clients only. We can provide a superbill for clients who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance provider. We also provide sliding scale services based on proof of income to make services as accessible as possible.

How much do therapy sessions cost and how can I pay?

Rates vary depending on the type of session (individual or couple). During your consultation, we’ll review pricing and available options to help you find the best fit for your needs and budget. We do provide sliding scale. Typically, services range from $75-$150 per 45 minute sessions.

Payment is due at time of service. We accept major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards through our secure client portal. For billing questions please email billing@thewellnessctr.org.

What types of therapy do you offer?

We provide therapy for individuals and couples. Our areas of focus include perinatal mental health, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. We use modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Method, and more.

Do you offer workshop or community events?

Yes! We host virtual workshops and wellness events focused on healing, self-care, relationships, and overall mental health education. You can find upcoming events on our Events page or through our Eventbrite listings.

What are Health Equity Specialist Services

We partner with organizations to promote culturally responsive care and equitable access to mental health services. This includes workshops, consulting, and community collaboration.

Do you offer doula support?

Yes. Our doula and reproductive wellness services provide emotional, educational, and physical support before, during, and after birth— helping clients feel empowered and nurtured through their reproductive journey.

Due to Association of Social Work Board Code of Ethics, if you are a therapy patient, you will not be able to participate in doula services.

How do I get started?

You can schedule a free 15-minute consultation. Please email clientsupport@thewellnessctr.org. We’ll discuss your goals and match you with the right services for your needs.
